Thanku Pastor – The new ‘Annadana Prabhu’ for CPI(M)

Kottayam: The confusion prevalent in the ideology bereft Marxist party has once again been brought to light with party members and leaders completely unsure of what exactly they want. The Anti Communal
seminar organized by CPM has kicked started a controversy owing to the
participation of Dr Thanku Pastor, head of Heavenly Feast, the notorious Evangelist conversion centre based in Kottayam. The seminar organized under the aegis of TK Ramakrishnan Study Centre has no left
the party squabbling among themselves.

Marxist section which openly supports Kottayam district committee secretary VN Vasu is said to be behind the presence of Thanku Pastor at the meet. This is an open acknowledgement of the evangelization
going on in Heavenly Feast. Not only was the evangelist felicitated but also hailed by Vasu as ‘Annadaana Prabhu’, meaning the
Master who indulges in offering of food.

The Marxist meet openly referred to Pastor as ‘the great soul who led believers to the path of spirituality’. This clarifies and confirms the party’s stand against SNDP, after the open association with Thanku Pastor. The SNDP had earlier objected to the large scale conversion
activities being indulged in by Heavenly Feast, targeting members of the Ezhava community. Hailing a man who had converted over 4000 Ezhava community members to Christianity is clearly a sign of an
open challenge to the SNDP.

Many state that by bringing in Thank Pastor the party stands to gain
monetarily.Heavenly Feast had illegally seized the municipal land at Nagampadam for the construction of their prayer house. Hindu organizations had openly protested against the same.

It is also being suspected that by bringing in Thanku Pastor to the
Marxist fold is with the ulterior motives of bringing more Hindus under the evangelist’s path, there by leading to greater conversion.
