Attempt to ‘Resurrect’ !, Christian preacher under arrest

Coimbatore: Police registered case against a Christian preist Charles and wife under various charges, including the murder of his Brother Selva Kumar.

Police recovered Selvakumar’s body in a highly decomposed condition from a house owned by the preacher. Selvakumar commited suicide following mental torture by his preacher brother.

Charles had kept the body of his brother Selvakumar in his house for the last 60 days claiming to bring him back to life through prayers. He along with his wife and four children were said to be offering prayers to `resurrect’ him.

Charles and his wife was testing the power of Jesus, in which he thought his black magic and special prayers to his god will bring back life to his brother! And under that impression he kept the body for 2 months in his home without informing even his close family members about his brother’s death.

On Friday, the police registered cases against Charles and Shanti under IPC 202, 203, 270, 290, 295-A, and 297.

The promotion of such black magic, occultism and faith healing by the Evangelist’s even by main stream visual media is the prime culprit and necessary actions should be taken against such fake promoters of Christianity whose sole aim is to deceive the naive.
