Much hyped ‘Red Wave’ of Deshabhimani gave way to ‘Saffron Tsunami’

via HK published on December 23, 2007

CPM and Congress tried to play our Kerala’s Manjeswar kind of model in the port city of Bhavnagar North, based on the 2002 election statistics that if Congress and CPM fight together then they can defeat BJP.

As a courtesy Congress didn’t field candidate in Bhavnagar (North) and officially supported Arun Mehta who is a central committee member CPM. Hence Arun Mehta became the first ever congress supported CPM candidate in election history of India (Congress workers and relatives of Bengal, Kerala especially K. Sudhakaran of Kannur please note this). Deshabhimani, Mouth piece of Communist party wrote series after series, saying “Thuramukhathu Chuvappu kaattuu veesunnu” (Red wave in the Port Town ) prior to election

But people of Bhavnagar gave a befitting reply to this Congress- Communist Nexus. The result they chose to be with a working Cheif minister who is honest, able and dedicated for their cause rather than the dialogue deliveries like “secularism” , “forward thinking and all”. When we write this, supporters of BJP candidate VIBHABEN DAVE are distributing sweets and celebrating their thumping win in Bhavnagar (North).

And what our Deshabhimani have to say about this ….Current headlines in Deshabhimani web edition (as of 8:30 PM IST) – “Paramada edinju 5 maranam” (Five Dead in a Quarry accident )
