Alappuzha: Intolerance of Communist’s is not only against their opponents but is very much there for their own leaders who dare to question the acts of top brass.
A CPI(M) leader who wanted Cooperation-Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran to be thrown out of the Cabinet for his inopportune statements intended at gaining personal publicity has been suspended from the party.

The party step has once again proved how the new-generation leadership of the party had grown intolerant about criticisms. Alappuzha district had seen disciplinary action against dozens of party leaders and workers for being close to hardliner leader Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan.

The action against CPM leader from Alapuzha, Pramod Narayanan was for speaking in public against the Minister Sudhagaran who almost always crossed limits of political decency and his position on the crop loss due to summer rains in Kuttanad.

Pramod Narayanan had come out with harsh criticism against Sudhakaran at a seminar on ‘Kerala Development: Problems and Challenges’, organised by the Janakeeya Prathikarana Vedi at Mavelikkara on Tuesday.

At the programme, Pramod Narayanan described Sudhakaran as new-generation Nero, who tried facial beautification in the light of the fire that was consuming the country. “I am sad seeing the course of this Government since we had sweated a lot to bring it into power. Sudhakaran should resign or Pinarayi Vijayan should intervene to expel him,” Pramod Narayanan had said at the programme.
