Students penalized in the name of Sandal Paste in Forehead
Moovatupuzha: ChristianManagedSt. ThomasCBSESchool here banned Hindu students from having Sandal paste or Saffron spot in forehead! The Fanatic authorities rubbed the Sandal paste from their foreheads and broke Rakhi’s as these all are signs of ‘Fascist Hindutva’!!
Â
After several complaints from the school, Hindu Aikya Vedi submitted petition to Muvattupuzha DEO and DYSP. HAV leaders warned the School principal of severe consequences if such religious discrimination is practiced against Hindus in the school.
Â
Such discrimination happens in a state where we have Muslim kids coming to schools with skull cap, Muslim girls with covered head, Christians students are also not barred from wearing cross as part of their attire.
Â
Last year special Examinations were conducted for two Christians for the reason that they cannot write Exams during Saturday. To attend special prayer on Fridays our schools give extra time in the afternoon and recently the educational reform committee’ s recommendation to start schools early in the day was dismissed as it will affect the Madrasa education of Muslims.
Â
When these two so called Minorities are enjoying all benefits and have an atmosphere to practice their religion freely, Hindu students are penalized in the name of Sandal paste!! Â Â Â
