Asianet’s moral support to Mumbai Terrorist attack

via HK published on December 1, 2008

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The Asianet’s program director’s (A well known CPI(M) activist) decision to show  film ‘1921’ last night, just after a day of  Mumbai terrorist attack was shocked by millions of Hindus.  Though it was shown around 2 am IST but what makes their act more disgusting was that it was done just after Islam’s latest terrorist act against the innocent Hindus of Mumbai.

The ‘Mappila Lahala’ (or ‘Moplah Riots’) of 1921 was the most barbarous attack by a savage religion and its cruel followers on the peaceful and trusting Hindus of Kerala. It was NOT a fight against the British colonialists or a revolt against wealthy landlords, as it implied by this shameful film.

How can Asianet, which was a reputation (deserved or undeserved) for fairness, add insult to injury by broadcasting such a blatantly untruthful film like ‘1921’ at a time when Hindus all over the world are weeping for their brothers and sisters in Mumbai who were killed in Islam’s latest attack on their society?

On behalf of your Hindu viewers, we demand that Asianet give an unconditional apology for airing this film.
