26/11 worse than 7/11 – Indian American Intellectuals Forum

Indian American Intellectuals Forum is deeply disturbed
and highly perturbed at the well coordinated and sophisticated terror attacks in
Mumbai, allegedly, by
Pakistan ’s intelligence agency ISI in
coordination with its sleeper cells in Mumbai. 

 

This Jihadi attack, in fact, is worse than the 9/11
attack on the World
Trade Center
in New
York .  In
New York only one place –
World
Trade
Center – was attacked.  But in Mumbai, terrorists went on
haywire in groups in the four-five mile stretch extending from CST Railway
Station to Nariman Point in Colaba, killing and shooting everyone.  In addition to that they targeted
foreigners, especially British, American and Jewish in  landmark heritage hotels – Taj, and
Oberoi-Trident.  Moreover, this
carnage and brutality continued viciously for more than 48
hours.

 

In this process, reign of terror was let loose on
innocent civilians of all nationalities. 
More than 140 innocent people lost their lives, more than 300 people were
injured, millions of dollars worth property and business destroyed and thousands
of families traumatized.  Three top
counter-terrorism experts and more than dozen police officials sacrificed their
lives defending their country.

 

The reports that terrorists had set up control rooms in
two hotels ahead of their operation is a sad commentary on the slow, inefficient
and poor performance of Indian intelligence gathering system.

 

 It is a
matter of great disgrace to note that while the terrorists were fully loaded
with AK-47 and grenades, Indian police officials were poorly equipped with
outdated and outmoded rifles.  We
hold UPA government responsible for the untimely deaths of our bright,
chivalrous and patriotic police officials.

 

It is a well-known fact that Government of

India ’s apathetic, soft and casual
proclivity  towards Jihadists is
guided by its vote bank politics. 
In order to be in power and get Muslims votes, UPA government headed by
Sonia Gandhi will go to any extent to compromise security and integrity of
Indian nation.

 

The best way to get rid of this moribund government which
has been presiding over the extermination of thousands of its citizens is to
throw it out lock, stock and barrel, in the next national
elections.
