In a Mammoth rally organised at Ramlila Maidan  in New Delhi by VHP as part of Save Sethu Campaign, gave a strong and clear message to UPA that , if checked the tolerance of  Hindus, then we will resort to ‘use’ force as well.

“The time has come for Hindus to make a big sacrifice. We are ready for any drastic action. If the need arises, even shakti pradarshan will be resorted to,” warned VHP President Ashok Singhal “We can even think of all options, including the use of force, to stop the destruction of Ram Setu, which is a symbol of our culture and faith,” The Dharm Acharyas  will decide on the future course of action to prevent the project at the ‘Dharma Sansad’ scheduled for July 22 in the capital. The Dharma Sansadwill take a do-or-die decision on the issue if their warning to leave the Ram Setu untouched is not heeded by then.

The warning was echoed by several other top leaders of various Hindu sects, including Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Nyas (temple trust) of Ayodhya.Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand of Jyotishpeeth and Swami Vishvesh Tirth of Pejawar Mutt, Udupi, were among the other prominent participants at the meet.

Janata Party chief Subramaniam Swamy stole the show with his punch line that captured the the assembled crowds. “Sangharsh ke liye tayyar rahiye.Yeh sangharsh hoga Om aur Rome ke beech mein, (Be ready for the struggle. This battle will be between Om and Rome)

Senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi, said that this issue was raised many times in Parliament with ample Sceintific and spiritual proofs, But Baalu whose sole mission is to destroy the Ramsethu is showing a blind eye towards the facts.”We will not allow anybody to destroy it at any cost,”.BJP had support of RJD, SP, AIADMK and Trinamool Congress on the issue, Joshi added

VHP General Secretary Praveen Togadia said the decision to “destroy the Ram Setu is intended to hurt the Hindu sentiments.” and asked if the Sethu’s name was ‘Ali Sethu’ instead of ‘Ram Sethu’, will UPA dare to touch it?

As usual Media had down played this mammoth rally,Ramlila maithan witnessed the largest crowd seen since JP’s agitation for justice during the Emergency regime.

Hindu’s hearts are filled with dharma, the responsibility to cherish OM, the anaahata naada — unstruck sound, the musical rendering of the supreme divine — that emanates from s’ankha found near Rama Setu. S’ankha is an 8,500 year-old continuing industry in Bharatam, attested by a wide s’ankha bangle found in a woman’s burial in Nausharo, 300 kms. north of Karachi.
