When will we have ‘True Map’ ?
New Delhi: According to news reports – Google has amended its maps to show the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir as part of India. The correction came in response to the notice issued by minister of state for communications and IT Sachin Pilot to Google Inc for showing Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of the neighboring country.
Indeed it’s a welcoming move and Sachin Pilot’s timely action should be appreciated irrespective of Political affiliations. But one wonders apart from preserving our map with Pak Occupied Kashmir over these years what action Indian Government have taken to redeem or regain our lost land to Jihadis? How long should we teach and use this map by closing our eyes to the reality? Is regaining the lost portion and accede back to Indian union at least in the manifesto of any Political parties? Â
