What Directions for India?
I care deeply about our Hindu Dharma and the progress and development of India. So it seemed obvious for me to visit India and take a closer look at India. I had the chance to visit Katmandu, Kanyakumari, Calcutta, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kerala, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, and attend several Hindu conferences, and temple festivals. I met several Hindu organizational leaders, intellectuals, journalists, and laymen. I had the opportunity to meet several leaders of RSS, VHP, Hindu Samhati, Hindu Voice, Sri Ram Sena, and Bhrathiya Vichar Kendra. They have displayed a deep pride in Hindu culture and in their successful efforts in protecting, preserving and promoting our universal Dharmic philosophy.
India is being radically transformed by the most divisive leader in our nation’s history. But what may be less apparent and even more damaging than this political assault is the cultural breakdown that accompanies this all-out attack on Hindu culture and institutions. Despite recent economic reform and foreign inflow of investment, India is under siege. India is cornered by the enemy within and without. Hindus, the majority of India is oppressed. The Congress Party headed by the Italian Catholic and her cronies are polluting the mind of the majority. They are constantly tinkering with our education system to corrupt and pollute the young. Marxist academicians, anarchist political leaders and bogus secularists have made an unholy alliance to indoctrinate students with positively evil methods and principles.
Criminalization of politics, increased corruption, lack of police protection, demoralization and weakening of our defense forces, Islamic appeasement, visible support for coercive religious conversion, and the emergence of anti Hindu media have created a sense of insecurity, despair and a real challenge to Hindus. Political parties have effectively abandoned Hindu ethos, moral values, and culture. Caste politicians, phony intellectuals, and bogus secular media pundits who act as traitors and subversive agents blame Hindutva for Jihadi terrorism, coercive religious conversion, Maoist violence and Islamic infiltration from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Â
China’s expansion plans including construction of Brahmaputra Dam, military exercise near Arunachal Pradesh, turmoil in Nepal and Pakistan inspired Jihadi terrorism, placed Indian citizens in a predicament. The organized Muslims and Christians with massive support from the Islamic and Christian world are threatening the safety and security of Hindus in several states.
To be honest, the crisis we face is now so deep and the transformation required so fundamental that real change can sometimes feel almost impossible. The benefits of economy have not trickled down to farmers, small traders, and non-professional workers. Suicide rate among farmers is very high in India. In the name of globalization discarded and mass produced western and Chinese consumer goods are marketed. It intensifies the needs of common man while creating the promotional capacity to market meaningless products to a vast number of innocent citizens.
Kerala, the Marxist ruled southern state has become the alcohol consumption center of the world. In urban centers, suicide, teenage pregnancy, alcohol and drug abuse, crime, contract killing, divorce and burglary are on the increase.
Land mafia, corrupt politicians and those who follow desert originated dogmas have joined together for the destruction of forests, wet lands and farm lands. Pakistan printed counterfeit Indian currency and black money is being used for urban land grab, deforestation and ecological disaster. In few years there will be no farmland left in India if the present crisis continues.
Modern spectator sports in India have destroyed the value of athletics. Commercialization has turned play into work for money and reduced the spectator into a vegetative passivity-the very antithesis of the health and vigor sport ideally promotes. Sport in India has become a show business.
Television and electronic media make personal relations, and marriage, as trivial. The TV industry adds to the instability of family life, increase divorce, pre marital sex and child molestation. Sexual promiscuity is promoted as the progressive ideology of nonbinding commitments and cool sex. The television industry owned and operated by foreign media moguls promotes a pathological form of narcissism and grandiose illusions.
The bogus secular government at the center and states has been tinkering with our education with impunity. It has neither improved popular understanding of our society, raised the quality of our cultural understanding, nor reduced the gap between wealth and poverty, which remains as wide as ever. On the other hand, our education has contributed to the decline of national spirit, and intellectual-cultural standards.
Literature of a nature subversive to Hinduism and India has been distributed all over India in increasing quantities in recent years. The literature, apparently emanating from Jihadis, Marxists and missionaries seek to undermine the morale of Hindus and to destabilize India.
The ruling phony secular Congress Party headed by the Vatican agent Sonia remain disdainful of military-police activities that is required to protect the country from violent Maoists and Jihadi terrorists. Sonia government made the army and police belonged to the Congress Chief, not to protect our borders and the public.
The present economic-political-social-and psychological context of Hindus reminds me the old fairy tale about little Red Riding Hood. One day, a young village girl puts on a red cape and hood, accepts some cake from her mother and sets off to see her sick grandmother. In the woods, she tells a friendly wolf about her plans for a visit. The wolf arrives first and eats the grandmother. Then, the wolf disguises himself in bed with a nightcap and sheets. Little Red Riding Hood arrives and asks her grandmother why her arms and her legs and her ears, and her eyes, and teeth are so big. The wolf answers the last question with “the better to eat you withâ€, jumps out of bed, and swallows Little Red Riding Hood. Later, a hunter hears the wolf’s snores, enters the house, and realizes that the wolf might have devoured the old woman. The hunter takes a knife and slices open the wolf’s belly. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother came out safe and whole.
Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother were saved by the benevolent hunter. But Hindus in India are still in the belly of the beast.
Let’s imagine that this story like many fairy tales, tells us something about Hindus, perhaps about Jihadi terrorism, Coercive religious conversion, Marxist menace, subversive activities of the Naxals, Maoist violence, psychological warfare by the media, and mind viruses spread by our nemeses. Bogus secularists, phony intellectuals, anarchist academicians, Jihadi leaders and missionary mafia and corrupt politicians have offered different theoretical interpretations of the present problems faced by India and Hindus. Their theoretical perspectives or language use loaded vocabulary and destructive logic to spread mind viruses. Their goal is to dupe Hindus and to overprotect Jihadis, Maoists and converted Christians. The westernized media, pseudo-intellectuals and anarchists employ moral relativism to excuse Jihadi terrorism and moral decay. Under the guise of tolerance and progressive theories, they condition the innocent public to misidentify moral-social decay as healthy “diversity†and composite culture.
This mental misdirection, phony interpretations and bogus root cause theories will not help us to save Hindus from the belly of the beast. We need a real hero like Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who rose in Maharashtra to root out brutal and oppressive Islamic rule in India. We need a great man like Guru Gobind Sigh who was able to rejuvenate Hindus and confronted the cruel Islamic invaders and saved Hindu Dharma. Hindus should not follow the bumper sticker solutions offered by pseudo secularists. Hindus need to wake up and use positive force, intelligence and valor that can make a difference.
Our task is very complicated. We have to enact many roles: the roles of advocate, teacher, researcher, policy analyst, social activist, mentor and more. Hindu leaders must possess multiple skills for micro, mezzo, and macro level-practice. We need to respond effectively to Hindu problems in all level. Unfortunately, the current pseudo secular-political set up allow our distracters to talk loud and prevail despite the dangerous premises of their position. They communicate like gangsters; they align themselves with our enemies in India and abroad signaling loyalty to their alien slave masters. They promote Jihadi terrorism, Maoist violence, Islamic infiltration, coercive religious conversion, corruption and outright theft of temple funds and lands. They provoke conflict and crisis, demoralize our defense forces, police and seek the advancement of balkanization of India.
Â
The problems Hindus face today have a complexity, and urgency which necessitates high quality actions. Hindus must develop and implement effective strategies to ameliorate psycho-social-political problems to enhance the quality of our life, liberate our temples, safeguard spiritual lands and protect our culture. We need to draw upon the intellectual and pragmatic traditions of Sri Krishna, Sri Ram, Chatrapathi Shivaji, Guru Gobind Singh, and Veer Sravarkar. From Kanyakuamri to Kashmir, from Bengal to Benares, from Chennai to Calcutta Hindus have a set of significant symbols or shared meaning that allow Hindus to understand each other and to work together for our common cause.
My hope has been dramatically renewed through activities of the Sangh parivar, VHP, Hindu Smahati, Hindu Voice, Sri Ram Sena, Hindu JanaJagrithi, Hindu Munnani and Hindu Aikya Vedi. They are trying to invigorate Hindus.
I saw Hindus flocking into Temples and participating festivals not realizing Temple funds are looted by the government. Why do so many Hindus vote for anti National Congress party, Marxist atheists and divisive parties? They are clearly seemed to be against the interests of Hindus. Yet they vote for the anti Hindu, anti national political parties.
This self-destructive trend has always existed in India since independence. The anti-national Congress party managed to retain power-even as the number of the working poor Hindus has increased. India’s demographic is such that Hindus should gain power in Delhi and in several states. It is only Hindus lack of political interest and cultural commitment that prevents this reality. This situation is likely to persist, especially if Hindu organizations cannot revivify and revitalize Hindus with active political participation.
When Hindus fail to vote or fall for the same old phony-mindless secular games and act like useful idiots; moral agnostics, atheists and anti national politicians will continue their Hindu crushing business. These corrupt politicians and mediocre leaders have abdicated personal and ethical responsibility to see the perils of enemy acts within and without. It is the Hindus, then, who count. They are, as it might be, the carriers of democracy.
The destructive antipathy of the Congress party and Marxists toward the existing Hindu social ethos is a form of nihilism. In order to create the positive future, it is necessary first to mobilize Hindus who can show pride in Hindutva, a pride tempered with the reality of coming to terms with a vastly expanding body of what we know, what we do not know and what we ought to know.
