Voting Rights for NRIs

via K Vijayan published on December 22, 2010

The time is ripe for enrolling a few crore more “Voters”, and “modalities” are being worked out by Voyeur Ravi, Overseas Indian Affairs Minister, and the CEC.

We had a Foolish James CEC who gave three votes to each muhammedan in “refugee camps”, and had Voting Booths established in other States for Gujerati Muslims who felt “insecure” after burning up a trainload of Hindu Pilgrims.

So how many votes should be given to each NRI, and at which polling booths situated where?

We have three or four crores of Bungleadeshi and other cutwas imported illegally over the years. Have all or many of them been endowed with Voting Rights already? Will they be now empowered as NRIs now, ensuring two (at least) votes each?

Incidentally, Does Niiirraaa Radia have a voting Rights in India? And in what other countries, UK, Uganda, Pakistan, UAE? Is it possible that she has been around in Sonialand for so many years and has not Voted in any election without having her name on the Voter Lists? Perhaps Chawla may have personally escorted her to a Booth to Exercise her Franchise.

Dr.Swamy may have a Clue.
