“Vote-beggars” can be “Choosers”!

I have not come across in both the print & electronic media, the “Diwali Greetings” issued by the Presdient’s office and the PMO.

Have You?

“Vote-beggars” can be “Choosers”!

The people of South India celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights yesterday and the people of North India celebrate today. First time in the history of independent India, the President & the Prime minister failed to greet the people for this important occasion, which is outrageous and atrocious. The President, who came to power without denying or disproving the flurry of allegations heaped on her during the period of electioneering, had only the strength of numbers as ‘credits’ and nothing else as creditworthy. The Prime Minister, who had the gumption to say that he had spent sleepless nights on seeing the plight of the families of terrorists & terror suspects, unfortunately didn’t have the basic courtesy to greet the people on this festival, which is celebrated by the 85% majority people. The majority community never cares about the ‘foreigners’ and hence it is irrelevant for them whether the UPA Chairperson greets or not. As both the President and the Prime Minister had failed in their basic democratic responsibility and courtesy, they have lost the moral right to continue in their offices and hence they must resign immediately.

With regards to Tamil Nadu, the Tamil people belonging to the majority community have celebrated Diwali as usual with fun and fanfare yesterday showcasing the world that they are united and integrated with the people of the rest of the country. Baring the leaders of AIADMK, BJP and the Congress, none of the others had the decency to greet the Tamil people on this great occasion. These leaders, who always attempt to separate the people from the rest of the other Indians, in the name of Tamil, failed yet again to share the happiness of their own people by greeting them.

Beggars cannot be choosers, but these “vote-beggars” can be, and they always choose only the ‘minorities’, while shamelessly enjoying the power because of the votes of the majority. These vote-beggars always crawl at the feet of the minority people for the sake of votes while treating the people of majority community with utmost contempt.

None of the media, both print & electronic, have carried the greetings of the President’s office, PMO and the central and state governments and it is a disgrace that these leaders have failed in their democratic & moral duty!

What an exhibition of secularism! Shame on these leaders! What they have done is unpardonable!
