Vice Chancellor ousted for praising Narendra Modi!

Ahmedabad : Gulam Mohammed Vasthavi, the Vice Chancellor of Darul Ulum Neobas has been removed for his word of praise on Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr.Gulam Mohammed who is a moderate happened to write in Facebook about the progress that Gujarat attained under the governance of Modi and urged to the Muslim community to forget the 2002 incidents. He did point out that the Modi government has been impartial and the Muslims are not subjected to differential treatment.

Masjlis E-Shura which controls the above university appointed a committee to investigate about the comments of the Vice Chancellor and based on the committee’s report and a voting they held in its meeting recommended the removal of the Vice Chancellor. In his place Mr.Mufti Abdul Kasim Nomani has been nominated as the new Vice Chancellor.
