VHP gets new media wing

via HK Correspondent published on February 20, 2010

As part of propagating Hindu news and views, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has launched a new media wing, which was inaugurated by VHP International Vice President, Ashok Singhal at a function in Chennai.

The objective is to take the hidden Hindu news to the people. Preventing false portrayal of Hindu traditions and festivals in tune with the interests of the Western media and exposing discrimination of Central and state governments against Hindus are also aimed by the new VHP media wing. The media wing also intends to educate Hindus globally on pseudosecularism and spread the message of Hindu love and peace.

Along with disseminating news through website (www.vhtv.in) and mobile networks, steps have also been taken to send video CDs and news everywhere in India. Ashok Singhal, in his inaugural speech, said that the objective of the media wing is to block false propaganda against Hindu organizations.

Singhal also clarified that it is good that political parties keep themselves away from the Ram Temple issue. Ram Temple is a religious issue. Political parties should stop using this issue for votes. Whether it is temple or mosque that is to be built would be decided by the religious leadership.

Singhal opined that the ‘Mumbai for Maharashtrians’ attitude of the Shiv Sena is not correct. India is for all Indians. Some people are trying to split the society, which is against the Constitution. Singhal added that he would discuss this issue with Shiv Sena Supremo, Bal Thackeray.
