Vedic Mutt under attack in Tamilnadu

SALEM: Anti Hindu groups in Tamilnadu is unleashing terror all over the state and attacking Hindu Institutions, sacred Mutts and Idols.


 


Activists of Thanthai periyar Dravida Kazhagam leaders and other regional out fits ransacked a mutt of the Sri Kamakoti Kamakshi Charities at Maravaneri near Salem on Thursday. The mutt is engaged in conducting veda classes.


 


The entire mutt premises, after the 30-minute vandalism, looked like a war-ravaged zone with broken glass pieces and damaged articles.


 


According to police, five members of TPDK – Raja, Sivapiriyan, Tamilselvan, Iniyan and Balu – were arrested for damaging the photographs of Kanchi Sankaracharya in the ‘Veda Pada Saala’ in Maraveneri.

In another incident, another 20 were arrested for attacking a man at Mettur and cutting his sacred thread.
