Vayalar Ravi’s report to ‘PM’ on spread of Hindutva abroad

via Raghavan Nair published on November 2, 2006

While Union Minister Arjun Singh is bent upon pleasing the `Madam’ with his bungled up efforts in curbing Hindutua activities in Hindusthan, another Union Minister Vayalar Ravi is now putting his best efforts to be in the `useful’ category of Madam. By virtue of the Pravasi Affairs portfolio, Vayalar Ravi is always on tour to foreign countries and during such tours he tries his best to mingle with the Indian community in each country, often discarding the protocols.

Recently the Minister was on tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. While at Australia, he was invited to a Diwali Celebration at Canberra where the Embassy officials also were in attendance. The function was arranged by a Hindu Organization but the Minister had that awareness only when the President of the Organization started his speech which according to the Minister was totally a Hindu speech. The Minister was agitated, but waited until his turn for the speech and did not forget to mention that Indians should not spread Hindutua ideas abroad.  He advised the embassy officials to keep away from such gatherings arranged by Hindus.  Later he cancelled the programme of visiting another such gathering at another part of Australia, after learning from local newspapers that the function was arranged by a Hindu group.

On return from abroad, first thing the Minister did was to submit a report to the Prime Minister about the spread of Hindutua abroad through certain activists there. What a noble man and humble servant he is!!  We must not forget that Kerala High Court has already made an observation about the conduct of the above Minister for the open criticism he made about the police raid in Muringoor Charismatic Prayer Center and praising the Christian Mafia centre!!
