Varun says YES to compulsary military service

After courting controversy with his speeches in Philibit, Varun Gandhi is in the news again.
This time he has supposedly told a British Daily that he supported revival of his father’s compulsory sterilization programme. He added he would also propose a bill to introduce compulsory military service for all Indians.

He said the service would help in uniting the people of India and also take away the caste and language based barriers we are experiencing in the country now. It would also make proud Indians out of the country’s citizens.

The sterilization campaign started by his father Sanjay Gandhi ran into trouble after the government officials started targeting men other than those who had two children in particular area of the country.
