Uma ready to campaign for BJP
A
day after she threw her weight behind LK Advani as the next Prime
Minister, BJS chief Uma Bharati publicly stated her willingness on
Wednesday to campaign for the party in non-BJP ruled States.
“I
am ready to campaign for Advani. It is for the BJP’s election
management team to decide where they would like to field me,” Uma told
mediapersons, even as she categorically rejected any possibility of her
return to the BJP “at the moment”. She has requested party chief
Rajnath Singh to work out the schedule for her campaign.
The
Sanyasin not only showered praises on Advani but she went on to
describe the senior leader as someone like his father. “I have never
been opposed to him. He is unparalleled in Indian politics,” Uma said.
