Tributes to Shri M N Sukumaran Nambiar
Shocking waves spread the city of Chennai when Sri M N Sukumaran Nambiar S/o late legendary actor Sri M N Nambiar attained the lotus feet of the Almighty on January 8, 2012. He occupied several key positions in various organizations. He served as the President of Ayyappa Sewa Samajam and General Secretary of Dharma Rakshana Samiti. He was so humble and mingles with all sects.
He joined BJP Party in 1991. He held key positions including the post of Treasurer. He was instrumental in forming an alliance between the two parties AIADMK and BJP during 1998 and 2004. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa while condoling the death of Nambiar and called him a “true patriot.†In a statement, Jayalalithaa said, “His death is indeed a great loss to the Bharatiya Janata Party. In his passing away, we have lost a true patriot and a person who untiringly served society.â€
Jayalalithaa recalled his expertise in several martial arts, with a black belt in karate. Nambiar trained personnel of the Indian Army in martial arts. Like his father, he too evinced deep interest in spiritualism and was the president of the All India Ayyappa Seva Samaja,m, Jayalalithaa said.
BJP President Nitin Gadkari, senior leader Venkaiah Naidu, all-India joint organising secretary Satish, national executive committee member L Ganesan, state party president Pon Radhakrishnan and other leaders took part in the funeral. Various other leaders of Sangh Parivar expressed their deep condolence of the sudden demise of the true patriot.
