Trader launches ‘The Namo Store’ for Narendra Modi merchandise

published on December 31, 2013

After saris, cellphones and T-shirts, now a city-based toy trader on
Wednesday has launched one of the first online stores offering products
and merchandise inspired by Chief Minister Narendra Modi. The portal
called “The Namo Store” was started by Ahmedabad-based Ketan Amichand
Vora.

“We wanted to capture the current trend that we are witnessing
in the country and the portal is an attempt in that direction. We are
planning to open retail stores in major cities of the country in the
near future. As of now we are only retailing these products online and
plan to come up with toys and other merchandise soon. All the
merchandise we are selling are manufactured in Gujarat,” said Vora, who
is a toy trader with a shop on Gandhi Road at Ahmedabad. Under three
categories – Namo Mantra, Namo Lekh and Namo Tech – the portal offers a
wide range of products: T-shirts, stationeries items like letter pads,
pen drives, paper weights, pen stands, conference diaries, planners and
claims to be crafted around the vision of ‘India First’, a phrase coined
by Modi.
