Thousands turn up for Hanuman Chalisa, which was banned earlier by AP Govt.

Giving a befitting reply to Government who banned mass recital of Hanuman Chalisa in Hyderabad, Thousands of Hindus flock to NTR stadium on Saturday. The prayer was organised to remove the obstacles in building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashok Singhal asked the Sunni Wakf Board to return to Hindus one-third of land at the disputed site in Ayodhya which was awarded to it by court recently in the interest of cordial relations between the two communities.

Devotees rendered Hanuman Chalisa to mark one lakh voices as part of  Hanuman Chalisa – laksha galarchana’ under the guidance of Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami, Ashok Singhal, international president of Viswa Hindu Parishad and several other spiritual leaders from the state. Hanuman Shakthi Jagran yajnam was also conducted . Yagna parayanam included 108 couples at nine yagna kundas and songs and dances in praise of Lord Rama.

The ban was lifted by AP High court and gave permission to go ahead with mass chanting. The event was banned citing reasons of riots by AP Police under instructions of AP Govt.
