They sacrificed their lives for what?

New Delhi: The relatives of the security commandos who sacrificed their lives during the parliament attack said that they felt cheated and betrayed on seeing the attempts to save the life of Afzal from the gallows.

“The secularists and the commies who are trying their best to save this deadly terorrist, whom the Supreme Court has sentenced to death, are in fact insulting those brave martyrs who fought with their lives to protect the nation’s highest symbols of democracy”. These are the words of the relatives of the brave commandos. “Is this for what my father sacrificed his life for” asks Sunder Singh Patel, son of Ghan shyam Patel, who went down fighting the terrorist during the parliament attack. “When we see the tremendous support given to the terrorist by the politicians and human rights activist, we feel betrayed”. There was sadness and anger in the Sunder singh’s words.

The husband of CRPF constable Kamlesh Kumari, Mr. Avdesh Kumar said that Mohd Afzal is deadly terrorist who dared to attack the parliament. The trial was done from lower courts till the Supreme Court. Why is that there is a big hullabaloo being created for Afzal?The nation had honoured Kamlesh Kumari by giveing her the Ashoka chakra posthumously. Avdesh Kumar is shocked to know that J & K chief minister Gulam Nabi Azad is clamouring for Afzal’s clemency. He said that it is an honour to be known as Kamlesh Kumari’s husband. But on seeing the attempts for Afzal’s pardon I feel Kamlesh’s life was wasted. Azad is trying to communalise this

issue by saying that during Ramadan death sentence should be avoided.

Where was this human rights activist when my wife was killed after leaving me with two small kids? said Avdesh. Kumar. Mehbooba Mufti who is after running after Afzal’s clemency wants the congress, national conference and PDP to collectively request for Afzal’s clemency.

The CPM has also asked  to re-consider Afzal’s death sentence. The parliament attack which took place on 15th December 2001 in which 9 security personnel’s lost lives was one of the most deadliest attract by the Islamic fundamentalists.
