Thanks to Dr Swamy, SC restrains Italian ambassador from leaving India
In response to a PIL filed by Janata Party chief and advocate Dr. Subramanian Swamy and the submissions made by Attorney General G Vahanvati in the Italian marines’ case, the Supreme Court has restrained Italian ambassador Daniele Mancini from leaving India.
A notice has also been issued to Daniele Mancini for breach of undertaking by failing to bring back the marines facing trial in India for killing two Kerala fishermen.
The apex court has asked the Italian ambassador to reply to the court by 18 March.
