Supreme Court orders removal of NSA on Varun
The Supreme Court today ordered the Mayawati government to scrap the NSA charges against Varun Gandhi. Varun had filed a caveat in the Supreme Court stating that he should be heard if the UP government approached it in the matter.
The NSA charges was to be removed with immediate effect. It also told the UP government that it had no ground to challenge the order from the state advisory board.
Varun said his and the party’s stand had been vindicated. The Mayawati government had flouted all democratic norms in his case. Varun accused Mayawati of playing politics and said the voters will give the reply for this.
