Sponsorship of school kits for poor children – An Appeal

Education is the basic necessity for children to develop. Unfortunately in our country thousands of children are deprived of education. Some children who start schooling drop out early due to lack of educational material.
 
Seva Sahayog Foundation, a non- profit organisation has decided to give incentive to such poor children by giving them a school kit consisting of a school bag, nine note books & a geometry / pencil box. We reach out to individuals, corporates & trusts for sponsoring these kits. Each kit can be sponsored for Rs.250/-.
 
For last two years we have been distributing about 25,000 kits in slums of Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai & Pune as well as Adivasi areas of Thane & Raigad districts and rural areas of Ahmednagar, Pune & Nasik. While distributing these kits we came to know that the need for these kits is much more. Our Mumbai & Pune units together have decided to distribute 35,000 school kits this year to poor & needy children in Maharashtra.
 
We request your organisation to help in this educational & humanitarian cause which will develop child’s interest in education and reduce drop-out rate.  We request you to allow us to put up a stall in your premises, preferably in cafeteria, where your employees can come and contribute for the school kit. We will come with our publicity material, banner, receipt books etc. Your employees can volunteer for packing & distribution of kits as well on week ends. Kindly let us know your convenient dates for the stall.
 
Your company can also sponsor kits  by drawing a cheque in favour of Seva Sahayog Foundation & sending it to our office address. If you need any further information, kindly contact us between 11 AM and 6 PM on any working day.
