Sponsor a Child 2014, a charity project by Uthishta
Uthishta, the Bangalore based social service trust has decided to continue their educational support to the underprivileged vanavasi students of Nivedita Vidyanikethan of Kaniyambatta, Wayanad. It was last year that Uthistha launched their “Sponsor a Child” program in which a sum of Rs 3.23 lacs was handed over to Nivedita Vidyanikethan towards the educational expenditures of 54 tribal kids who are under the care of Vanavasi Vikas Kendram. This year too, Uthishta has pledged it’s support to the same number of students. Depending on the number of sponsorships, this support will be extended to more such students from other tribal schools / hostels.

Annual Expenditure for a Boy Child
Two pairs of Uniforms and inner wears, Two pairs Daily Wears, Text Books, Notebooks and stationery, Other Expenditure .etc Total : Rs 5600/-
Annual Expenditure for a Girl Child
Two pairs of Uniforms and inner wears, Two pairs Daily Wears, Text Books, Notebooks and stationery, Other Expenditure .etc Total : Rs 6200/-
Donation to Uthishta is eligible for tax exemption under section 80G
