Sonia refused to sing Vandemataram
NEW DELIHI : Congress workers across the country shocked over their President’s surprise absence at an event making Vandemataram Centenary today in New Delhi.
BJP President Rajnath Singh attacked Congress President for refusing to sing national song. “She is the President of the Congress party and she still did not take part in the function organised to celebrate the 100 years of Vande Mataram,” said BJP Chief.
However, when the journalists asked her absence in the function, Congress leader Ahmed Patel defended it by saying the song cannot be forced on anyone. Mr. Patel said that Sonia’s refusal to sing national song is not an issue and should not be made in to an issue.
