New Delhi: Her outfit had religious groups in a fit of rage but Sania Mirza today hit back at her detractors saying it’s completely her personal matter whether her skirt is six-inch long or six feet.
For once, Sania did not skirt the issue about making statements with her outfit and said, ”out of the court, what I do, what I wear, what I eat or drink should be nobody’s business.”
”When I’m winning out there on the court, people should not worry over my skirt — whether it’s six-inch long or six feet.”
”Anyway I can tell you all that it won’t be six-inch ever, it won’t be six feet either,” she said in the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit here on Wednesday.
On her celebrity status, Sania said she was aware that her public life would be subject of discussion but cared little for that.
”I’ve just turned 19 and I think I’m quite mature,” she added.
Sania named Sachin Tendulkar and Steffi Graff as her idols.
”Steffi was a perfect player and she is leading a happy family life as well,” Sania pointed out.
