Scandal related to Rama Setu
Chennai, April 30.
Tamilnadu BJP President L. Ganesan has issued a statement condemning the efforts of Union Minister TR Baalu to destroy evidence related to Rama Setu (Ramar Paalam).
Evidence has been found from a very ancient map available in Thanjavur Saraswati Mahal Library related to the Rama Setu in Rameswaram. But, Union Minister TR Baalu has been consistently denying and repeating that there is no basis for stating that a Rama Setu existed.
We have already announced that if anyone is interested in ascertaining the real situation, we are prepared to provide the necessary evidences. In this situation, today on 30 April 2007 Union Minister TR Baalu went into the Thanjavur Saraswati Mahal Library and threatened the officials there and it is learnt that efforts were also made to destroy and conceal the evidences.
This will result in serious consequences. Instead of correcting himself after realizing the true reality of the situation, Minister TR Baalu’s use of wrong tactics and methods is strongly condemnable. So said, L. Ganesan.
