Thiruvananthapuram: Here is a success story from Seva Bharati, which has been instrumental in uniting Radhakrishnan, who went missing in Bahrain, with his family. Radhakrishnan’s homecoming was made possible by Samskriti, the Gulf Unit of Seva Bharati.

52 year old Radhakrishnan, a native from Ochira had set foot in Bahrain 10 years ago. He however, went missing since the last four years, while he was in Bahrain. Complaints were registered in the local police station of Ochira by his wife Leelamma, which yielded minimal results. This was how Seva Bharati came into the picture, with swayamsevaks in Seva Bharati getting in touch with their counterparts in Bahrain. The president of Samskriti Prakash Kumar and general secretary Sateesh Kumar were alerted, which resulted in a four year long investigation.

The team finally discovered a completely ill Radhakrishnan, who had lost his passport, after his room was gutted in a fire accident. Also, while on a job hunt, he fell grievously ill. But with his passport lost, Radhakrishnan could neither return home nor avail medical facilities.

Members of Samskriti managed to procure for him, his passport and associated details. An amount of rupees two lakh was also handed over to his family. Radhakrishnan finally reached home on 24 November. He was accorded a warm welcome by his family members and members of Ochira RSS fraternity.

Radhakrishnan’s family includes his wife Leelamma, daughter Rajalakshmi and son Rahul.
