Bhopal : Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Madhya Pradesh as senior BJP leader L K Advani’s Bharat Suraksha Yatra is scheduled to enter the state tomorrow.

Police have been asked to maintain a strict vigil across the state and security was tightened in districts where the Yatra is scheduled to pass through.

Additional forces were deployed on the Yatra routes and all efforts were being made for a smooth passage of the Yatra after it enters the state at Shahdol, police said.

In the wake of the Budhni bypolls, the Yatra will be diverted before Hoshangabad district at Kareli in Narsinghpur, and will cross Tendukheda, Udaipura, Bareli, Obedullahganj and Mandidee before reaching Bhopal for a public function on April 27, party sources said.

It will later move to Mandsaur, where Advani is expected to take a break for electioneering for the party on April 28, they said, adding the former BJP president will restart the Yatra from Neemuch on May 1, when he will enter Rajasthan.
