Sack incompetent Home Minister : Dr. Swamy

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy,  President of the Janata Party.

It is time for the Prime Minister to sack the Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram who has turned out to be ten times more incompetent than his predecessor Mr. Shivraj Patil.  Terrorist menace in India, both internally and from external sources, is now much much worse.

The problem with Mr. Chidambaram is that he is  more interested in his media profile than doing any quiet substantive work.  He has made himself a laughing stock in the United States by giving daily press conferences on the imminence of interrogating Mr. David Headley. The Americans have  simply ignored  all his requests. Mr. Chidambaram’s media blitz regarding Chinese companies especially in telecom is childish.  A more mature approach would be to deal with the problem  quietly and bilaterally; but it appears that he wanted to curry favour with the Americans on this issue.   Mr. Chidambaram  entered Parliament by gross crass and  forced declaration of his ‘victory’ by the hapless Returning Officer of Sivaganga constituency.

Mr. Chidambaram lacking moral  character to hold this August office of Home Minister, must be sacked immediately by the Prime Minister.
