Sabarimala Pilgrims from Karnataka under attack in Island Express
Piravam Road: A Group of Students attacked Ayyapa Pilgrims from Bangalore who were travelling in Kanyakumari-Bangalore Island Express.
The ayyapa pilgrims were attacked for questioning the travel of a Christian pastor in reserved compartment without valid ticket. Later the TTR shifted the pastor to another complaint based on the complaints of Ayyappa Pilgrims.
Irked by this, a group of students from Piravam arranged some local thugs in Piravam Road Station. When the train reached Piravam Road Station these students and thugs attacked the Ayyappa Devotees. No cultured Keralite were there to question the one sided attack on Ayyapa Devotees who even don’t know our language to explain about the incident.
Railway Police registered a case but no arrests were made yet. Hindu Aikya Vedi and BJP leaders demanded immediate action against those who attacked the Sabarimala Pilgrims.
