RSS in Andhra Pradesh

A press meet was convened by Viswa Samvad Kendra Hyderabad at the premises of the Sangh karyalay  in Barkatpura in Hyderabad on 18th March 2011 at 11AM.

This Press conference was initiated by Shri Mallikarjun Rao of Samachar Bharathi and chaired by Justice Parvath Rao Kshetra Sangachalak and after brief introduction b y pranta Sangachalak  shri Deshmukhji. Press meet was addressed by Shri Shri Dusi Ramakrishna Kshetra Karyavaha of Karnataka & Andhra region.

Addressing the Press conference attended by the electronic and the Print Media Mr Ramakrishna informed the press about the resolutions passed at the Akhil Bharat Pratinidhi Sabha at Puttur in Karnataka. Resolutions on Anti-Corruption ,China’s imperialistic designs .

He empathised that the Sangh is in the forefront of various welfare actitivities and has its presence in more than 27,000 villages with branches around 39,000. Sangh dedication to relief and rehabilitation activities are well known .

In Andhra Pradesh , Sangh activities are most vibrant with its presence in 493 villages and with branches in more than 620. West Andhra  has more than 1401 branches in more than 1017  towns and villages . Weekly Shakas in both regions account in more than 1200 villages.

Mr Ramakrishna explained that Sangh is educating the masses with its own publications “Loka Hitam” and “Hindu Nagara” in Telugu which reaches more than 14,000 Villages in AP.

RSS conducts camps every year aimed at personality development and train its volunteers  in Sangh work. In this context  Purva Andhra trained 1400 swayamsecvaks and Paschim Andhra has trained 3000 swayamsevaks  in a camp that ended recently lasting for one week.Similarly in the month of May , we are expecting more than 1500 swayamsevaks for a camp that shall last for more than 20 days,Mr Ramakrishan added.

Answering queries from the press,Mr Ramkrisha said “Sangh thanks courageous individuals, organizations and the constitutional institutions, alert media and vigilant Judiciary for their efforts against corruption in the present challenging scenario and offered whole hearted support as long the movement is non-political in nature. He recalled that JP movement in this context.

Mr Ramakrisha pleaded through   the media and called upon the citizens to extend their active support for noble endeavours with  utmost personal integrity and also nourish our traditional social institutions actively involved in character-building of our nation, herculean task  carried out by the Sangh .
