Religous Reservation will break the society – Padmasree P. Parameswaran

via HK published on June 23, 2007

Thiruvananthapuram: The government move to introduce reservation on the basis of religion will break the social fabric of our country and the co-existence of our soceity – said Sri. P Parameswaran while delivering the key note address as part of the 150th anniversary of the first freedom struggle in Theerthapada Mandapam here.  Instead of removing the reservations based on religion and strengthening the society, the government is adding more to the same.

The Sachar committee report clearly shows such an appeasement attitude from the government. By installing a puppet PM and now a puppet President UPA is trying to do a remote control administration of the whole country by a foreign lady who is taking us towards slavery. It’s a shame on the Indian Republic and for all the citizens of India. Globalization has become Americanization and country is getting divided in to various sectors.

The argument by some of the so called historians that there are no freedom struggles before 1857 is totally absurd and wrong. There were small and large, organized and individual level attempts by self respecting individuals as well as groups to protect mother land.  The secular historians are giving the official stamp to 1857 as the first freedom struggle since Muslims also took part in it for the first time.  This is against the concept of nationalism.

Kerala University Political science head Dr.G Gopakuamar inaugurated the session. R Gopakumaran Nair presided over the function. K.P Rajendran welcomed the gathering and vote of thanks was given by K.A Ajikumar.
