Prevent disrespect of National flag !
Ernakulam, Kerala : Memorandum to prevent disrespect of National Flag and to prevent use of plastic flags, was sumbitted to the District Collector of Ernakulam, Shri. M.G Rajamanickam, IAS by members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Shree Balaji Dharmajagruti Samiti at Ernakulam on 19th January 2015.
On the eve of Republic day, flags made of plastic and paper are bought with a lot of pride and enthusiasm. But on the same day afternoon after the flag hoisting, these flags are strewn around on the road or in gutters, thus disrespecting the flag. Using flags made of plastic is against law. Keeping this in mind, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Shree Balaji Dharmajagruti Samiti presented memorandums to the District Collector and thereby appealed to him to take immediate action to prevent misuse of the National Flag.
