Rameswaram, Sept 29: A preliminary survey to find an alternative route for Sethu Samudhram Shipping Channel Project (SSCP) was conducted at Dhanushkodi in Rameswaram on Monday.
As part of the survey, a group of engineers drilled the earth to a depth of 15 metres. Similar drilling would be taken up at Kambipadu and harbour area also, official sources said.
