“PM” stands for Pathetic Manmohan or Poor Manmohan or Pitiable Manmohan!

It was terribly amusing to see the nervous reaction from the Prime Minister on the BJP’s announcement that Mr.Adwani will be their Prime ministerial candidate. Mr.Manmohan had said that the central leadership of the BJP is worried about Mr.Modi’s “larger than party” image and to avoid his staking claim in the central leadership, they have announced Adwani as PM.

Before making this statement, the PM must have compared his tenure of three and a half years with Adwani’s tenure as Deputy PM. Had he done that, he would not have made this statement. He must understand that Mr.Adwani had contested elections successfully many times, unlike himself, who has been “chosen” and took office as a “default PM”. He must also understand that he is no where near Adwani in all respects considering leadership, stature, political acumen, etc. Can he cite any one instance, in which he has stamped his authority in the last three and a half years?

Manmohan must also be aware that the BJP has many tall leaders, who fit in to the category of ‘PM material’, competing with one another for the top post and finally one getting selected through inner party democracy, unlike the Congress, which always depends on one family and crawl under the feet of the family head, whether foreign or half Indian, whether a non-entity or a novice, whether educated or not, and where inner party democracy is an alien term!

More over, through this statement, Manmohan had conceded two things, one is that Modi is going to win the Gujarat elections and the other is that he is a PM material! Also, Mr.Modi has got high regards for Mr.Adwani and in almost all interviews, he had made it clear that he doesn’t have immediate plans of going to the national stage and that he would like to serve the 5.5 crore Gujarathis for yet another term.

The reaction from another minion of Sonia, which is Lalu that the post of PM is not in Adwani’s horoscope, is laughable. He must look at his own horoscope and also his own “image” in the national arena before making such comic statements.

Of late, our PM seems to suffer from the “Foot in Mouth” disease quite often. Right from “Muslims have the first right” remark to “Hindu fundamentalists” (Malegon blasts) remark to “I lost sleep” remark to “BJP’s havan for my death” remark and to the latest remark on Adwani, he keeps on entertaining us. It seems the tag “PM” stands for Pathetic Manmohan or Poor Manmohan or Pitiable Manmohan!
