PLA attack on Buddhist Temple, Soon after Maino’s China visit

New Delhi: Chinese Army blew up a Buddha statue at Bum La in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on October 31, confirms reports from the North Eastern Border State.Tawang located in the heart of the North-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, is world famous for it’s 400 year old Buddhist monastery.

BJP accused the government of “concealing” the facts regarding Chinese incursions in Arunachal Pradesh.BJP MP Arun Shourie told Arunachal Pradesh is facing “one of the gravest situations” after the Chinese invasion of 1962 from an external source other than the Bangladeshi infiltration. BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh Kiran Rijiju accompanied Arun Shourie in the press meet.

Arun Shourie strongly condemned UPA’s foreign policy “The government is “silent” on Pakistan, while it has “outsourced” the foreign policy to CPI (M) as far as Nepal is concerned. On the LTTE problem “people are writing poems praising them”

A Congress member in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday supported BJP’s revelation and said incursions by Chinese troops had taken place in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Congress MP accused the government of cowardice for keeping silent and asked why the government had not reacted to the demolition of the Buddhist statues at Bum La.

It is worth to note that the Chinese attack on the Buddist Temple was immediately after the Sonia Main’s visit to China from October 25th to 29.When Sonia was hailing the Communist regime in China in her Press Meet and stressing that “India has to learn a lot from China”, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army were giving the final touches on the Buddhist Temple attack in Bum La.
