Patriotic congress persons should quit Sonia congress: Subramanian Swamy
Chennai: “I welcome the Tamil Nadu Congress’ MLAs and leaders revolt against their Central leadership’s ‘indifference’ to the pro-LTTE stance of the UPA ally, the DMK, and the TN Chief Minister Mr.Karunanidhi in particular”, urged Subramanian Swami in a press Statement
The Congress central leadership’s unpatriotic tilt on the LTTE issue despite the assassination of their leader Rajiv Gandhi has been the trend set by Ms.Sonia Gandhi since the year 2000. It began by Ms.Gandhi writing to the President of India to commute to Life imprisonment the Supreme Court order of capital punishment for 4 LTTE and DK conspirators in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination, even though these four had not sent her or anybody else a mercy petition.
Therefore, Ms.Gandhi insisted on including in the Council of Ministers, Ms. Subbulakshmi Jagadeesen who spent five years in jail for having harboured at her home the assassins of Rajiv Gandhi.
The Congress in Parliament has also abandoned the demand for the extradition of V. Prabhakaran the LTTE supremo, and proclaimed offender with a Red Corner Notice of the Interpol in the assassination case.
Now that Mr.Rahul Gandhi has asked the Congress to formally give up the ban on alchohol and also the mandatory wearing of Khadi clothes, it would not be surprising for him to now ask Congress persons to forget the sacrifice and martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi.
Those Congress persons in Tamil Nadu who still revere Rajiv Gandhi and believe in patriotism, should quit the Sonia Congress and revive the Kamaraj-Rajiv values by forming a new party.
