Left-backed govt ignored incursions by China: Advani

NEW DELHI: Expressing concern at
China’s stepped up incursions across the Line of Actual Control into Sikkim,
which has come to light after the defence ministry said that it would take up
the issue with the Chinese side, L K Advani blamed the UPA government and its
ally CPM for “damages that have already been done”.

Reacting to the
revelation that there were around 70 incursions by Chinese troops into Sikkim
since January, Advani told TOI, “The damage done is essentially due to the
indifference of the government towards China’s designs.”

Advani
said, “After all, there was never any doubt about our boundaries on that front.
Sikkim has been an integral part of India and this happened only because our
China policy has been outsourced to the CPM.”
