Novel ways of Muslim appeasement – CPM’s new agenda

Based on the Rajinder Sachar report regarding the socio-economic and educational backwardness of the Muslim community, the CPM is preparing its agenda of Muslim appeasement which it is notorious for. As preliminary step towards this appeasement, for the first time in history the CPM has created a minority cell. It’s fact-finding committee says that Muslims are financially more backward than even the Hindu backward castes, and they recommend that different ministries should allocate 15% of their funds towards upliftment of the Muslims. The CPM’s demands over-shadows the findings of the Sachar commitee. During the eleventh 5-year plan, a new special project should be invented exclusively for the Muslims are one of the demands made by the CPM. It has also decided to present this issue during the next left-UPA co-ordination meeting. The W.Bengal Marxist govt who are the pioneers of Muslim appeasement has already created a new and special welfare program for the Muslims. Sitaram Yechury says that a plan similar to the 10% funds of all the ministries being allotted for development schemes of the north-eastern states should done for the upliftment of the Muslims.

The CPM is a party which not only supports and even encourages Islamic fundamentalism but also turns a blind eye to Pakistan funded terrorist activities. The CPM wants to use the Sachar committee findings and enhance their appeasement of Muslims and through this short cut  plan of vote-bank politics, gain prominence in the northern states of India.

The CPM’s Kashmir unit had demanded clemency to Mohd Afzal, the death-row convict in the parliament attack case. In Andhra Pradesh, the congress govt by including Muslims in the backward caste had given the benefits of reservations which the courts had revoked saying it was un-constitutional. The CPM kept mum while the nationalist organisations like RSS, BJP expressed their protests in the Muslim reservation issue. Now by hiding themselves behind the Sachar Committee report, the CPM is marching ahead with its Muslim appeasement policy. It is a party who was more vociferous than Mohd Ali Jinnah for the creation of the Pakistan nation. The issue of head-count of Muslims in the armed-forces has already made a deep communal divide in different govt agencies. Now with the hidden agenda of CPM’s Muslim appeasement it will be liking adding more fuel to the fire.
