No proof of existence of Ram or Ram Setu : Karunanidhi

SALEM: Breaking his silence on the controversy over the Centre’s initial stand in the Supreme Court on the Sethusamudram project, DMK President M Karunanidhi has endorsed the first affidavit that there was no historical proof of the existence of Lord Ram or Ram Sethu.

“There is no historical proof for the existence of Lord Ram or the bridge. AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has filed a case against the demolition of so-called Ram Sethu. The government will face the case,” the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister said late last night while laying the foundation for various projects.

DMK is the prime mover of the Sethusamudram project in the UPA government and parties in Tamil Nadu passionately argue for it.
