“NDA will storm back to power in next LS polls”
BJP President Rajnath Singh on Saturday exuded confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would storm back to power at the Centre after the next Lok Sabha elections.
“People have rejected Congress-led UPA Government for its anti-people policies and lack of development in the country and it is the BJP which will come to power in the next Lok Sabha polls,” Singh told reporters.
On the third front, he said, “The concept of the third front was baseless and even if it emerged, it would never be able to come to power.”
Criticising the “double standards” of the CPI(M), the BJP president said that Congress and CPI-M are “twin brothers” and CPI-M’s criticism of the Congress over the India-US civil nuclear deal was nothing but an “eye wash.”
“CPI(M) threatens to withdraw support (to the Government) but never opposes Congress in its heart,” he added.
Singh said that Congress could never provide security to the people of the country and they were playing into the hands of the US.
During Congress regime in 1991, Singh said India was not able to conducted nuclear tests as the “Government’s efforts in this direction was snubbed by the then US president Bill Clinton.” But during NDA’s regime, India conducted nuclear tests, he said.
