Nationalist Shiv Sainiks teach former Kashmiri militant leader a lesson

JAMMU : A former militant leader of Kashmir was roughed up by activists of the nationalist organization Shiv Sena here on Sunday (24.6.2007)

Shiv Sainiks stormed the conference hall of the Jammu Press Club shouting slogans against Islamic terrorism and prevented Zaffar Akbar Bhat from holding a press conference.

Amusingly, Bhat claimed that he had come here to unfold his future plans for  ‘helping’ migrant Kashmiri Hindus to return to their native Kashmir Valley.

Shiv Sena activists led by their state unit president Anand Sharma, however, were clearly not convinced of the Kashmiri Muslim’s intentions.

“This man had killed so many people, now they are talking of peace,” Sharma shouted while forcing his entry.

As usual, the police have lost no time in initiating a case against the Hindu nationalists. A case has been registered in Nowabad Police Station. “We are on the look out for him (Shiv Sena state president),” said a police official.

Sena activists in Jammu have been frequently disrupting the meetings of

Kashmiri terrorists. They had also tried to disrupt the rally of ruling alliance partner the pro-terrorist Peoples Democratic Party’s public meeting.
