Bharat is a land of Sants and Rishis. Many Gods and Rishis have taken avatar in this land – Raam, Krishna, Mahavir, Bhuddha, Adi Shankara, Guru Nanak, etc. Therefore, it is called Devbhoomi too. Bharat has all along been Spiritual Nation, although it has been ruled by Muslims and Christians for nearly 1000 years. There is no country in the world which, after being enslaved for nearly 1000 years, takes rebirth as one country. Bharat did so, in spite of so much diversity in the name of caste, language, region, etc. This oneness was due to the spiritual and cultural unity of Bharat – the Soul – which in other word is called Sanatan Dharm, Hindutva or Bharatiyatuva. Moreover, Dharm and Nationalism have always been interlinked in Bharat. For example, in a Pooja, the ‘sankalpa’ begins with “Bharata varshe, Bharata kande …”, a clear reference to Motherland. India can remain united only by holding on to its Spiritual values.

Today’s media, both print and electronic, does not represent the robust Indian Nationalist ideology nor does it care about the nation’s soul – Dharm. Since almost all the media persons are soaked up in our Mecaulayian system of education, they are only ‘brown’ (Indian) in outlook but ‘white’ (Englishmen) in taste, opinion and morals. They never lose an opportunity to belittle Sanatan Hindu Dharm.

Also, in this age of aggressive publicity, theVoice of Dharm is lost in the cacophony of pseudo-secularists who occupy cosy chairs with plenty of perks at tax-payers’ money. The proud Nationalist finds himself in a hopeless minority, with the steamroller majority composed of pseudo-Secularists and Mecaulayists.

It is therefore, essential that a Nationalist medium, outspoken and vibrant be created so that the Nationalist voice is not only not muffled, but takes on the Pseudo-Secularists.

With this in mind, I launched Hindu Voice (Monthly) in April 2002, which has about 15,000 subscribers all over the world. Since one month is a long period, I have launched this Weekly titled NATIONAL SPIRIT.

NATIONAL SPIRIT will campaign for protecting and promoting Indian Nationalism (whether you call it Dharm, Hindutva or Bharatiyatuva) among all sections of people. It will raise its voice against Adharm. It will expose anti-nationals and stand with Nationalists. National Spirit will expose forces inimical to nationalism, democracy and freedom of speech. It will work for preserving and propagating our ancient and hoary culture and for upholding the sacred and moral values enshrined in our Vedas, Puranas and Ithihasas.

If India (nation) is the body, Spiritualism (Dharm) is its soul. A body without the soul becomes dead. Similarly, a soul without a body is a ghost. India without its soul is just unthinkable. Sanatan Hindu Dharm (Soul) is eternal, but our Nation (Body) may not, if Nationalists sleep like Kumbhakarna, as it has continually been shrinking. National Spirit will stir up this soul to make the Nation vibrant and lively, so that our beloved Motherland – Bharat – not only remains strong, secure and prosperous, but also becomes the Vishwa Guru, as it once was.

NATIONAL SPIRIT is not affiliated to any political party, organisation, Religious Order or industrial group. We will be loyal to One – the only One – Maa Bharathi (Bharat Mata). National Spirit is dedicated at Her lotus feet.
