Modi rally on Monday as scheduled: Munde
MUMBAI: The anti-terrorism rally to be addressed by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi here on Monday will take place as scheduled, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde said here on Sunday.
“We are going ahead with the rally and Modi will address it,” Munde told reporters when asked about the Samajwadi Party’s opposition to Modi’s visit to the city.
Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi had warned that its workers would take to the streets if Modi was allowed to enter Mumbai.
“Who is Azmi? Is he a national leader? Who is he to oppose Modi and the rally which is aimed at condemning the recent serial trains blasts,” Munde said.
