Modi has not demanded US visa: BJP
AHMEDABAD: In view of recent reports of a US-based organization asking its government to deny visa to Narendra Modi, the BJP clarified that the Gujarat Chief Minister has not sought a visa to visit America.
“There is no question of asking for a visa for the US as Modi has not expressed a wish to visit that country after 2005. Reports appearing about his visa are deliberate attempt by some forces to defame him,” state BJP spokesperson I K Jadeja said.
Jadeja said Modi is popular among non-resident Indians and receives at least 40 invitations a year for programmes organized by them there.
