‘MINI’ MAINO takes the ‘MIGHTY’ RSS!?

Madam Sonia’s letter to the President Dr. Kalam regarding the MP government’s order allowing its employees to take part in RSS activities is quite amusing. While trying to blame RSS falsely on stoking religious prejudices, she had conveniently forgotten all the minority appeasement policies of her party led central & state governments, which are in the forefront of stoking religious prejudices.  

All of a sudden she had exhibited her “national interests” (!), which was not there at the time of Vandemataram centenary or at the time of her Kerala government passing a resolution for the release of the dreaded terrorist Madhani. Was her ‘national interest’ the main reason behind her prolonged delay in acquiring Indian citizenship? Why is she still holding her Italian citizenship? 

She had also expressed her “concerns” (!) about the spirit of constitution & principles of machinery, which were not there when her party led government subverted all the constitutional values & democratic principles umpteen times in the last two & a half years. Where were the ‘spirit’ of constitution & democratic ‘principles’ when the Goa, Jarkhand & Bihar governments were dismissed? Where were the norms & decency when her Italian friend was allowed to escape with the booty, by the misuse & abuse of official machineries? 

More than everything, this political novice had the audacity to indirectly pressurize Dr. Kalam to act like his predecessor K.R.Narayanan, who has always been the loyal servant of the Nehru Family. Dr. Kalam, who erred once in dissolving the Bihar assembly, has understood the political game plans of the Congress party in the last 30 months and he knows his job and he can be expected to ignore this letter of Sonia. Having written the letter herself (!), she did not even have the courtesy to meet the President personally and instead, chose to send it through her slavish sycophants.  

If at all she is so worried about national interests & democratic norms, why didn’t she approach the courts for the reversal of the MP government’s order? This lady is very much aware that she would end up with a miserable failure if she takes a legal course against the MP government’s order. That is why she is trying to pressurize the President citing his predecessor’s actions.  It seems this woman has not given up her habit of enacting political dramas and ending up with disgrace & shame.
