Marxist follower arrested for blasphemy against Jainism in his daily

Mangalore:Mangalore police arrested B V Seetharam editor of Kannada evening daily Karavali Ale  along with his wife Rohini were arrested and taken to the Panambur police station for the blasephous reporting and personal abuses against the spiritual leader of Jainism on Munishree Tarunsagar.


The arrest was done following complaints filed by Jain organizations against B V Seetharam. The organizations had alleged that the articles on had hurt their religious sentiments.


The complaint also alleged that several reports and articles on the visit of Munishree Tarunsagar and the digambaras which were published in the newspaper had hurt the Jain community.


 


Munishree Tarunsagar was in the city to deliver two special religious discourses ‘Amrutha Pravachana’ , popularly known to the Jain devotees as ‘Krantikari Rastrasantha’, began today 3 March 2007, at the Karavali Utsav ground at at 3.30 pm here.


 


The editor of the daily is a known Communist follower who finds pleasure in abusing Sanathana Dharma.Communist party called for a protest march on Monday against the arrest of their comrade.
